The tragic events that occured on 9/11 will go down in history and never will be forgotten. The friends and family of the almost 3,000 people that died that day will never be the same. They are impacted with horrific scenes of 9/11 forever. Nothing will ever be the same for our country and the thousands impacted from it.

On September 11th, 2001, the United States was at a stop. Two planes controlled by Islamic terrorists flew into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. The first plane was a shock to everyone as the people working in the building was flooding down the stairs and the people around watching the plane crash. Then the second plane hit. This caused mass panic and everyone watching on the news. People were scrambling to help as many people as they could. Clouds of thick dense smoke were surrounding, making everything that much more difficult. Then the news came, a third plane hit the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Now everyone knew what was happening and everyone was glued to the news to find out what is going on. After, a fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. “What more could these terrorists do?” was a common question. All the damage has been done, an entire nation was at a standstill. Thousands of lives where now changed, forever.

The events following the attacks of 9/11 was a long, difficult process. Trying to piece back together a broken nation took time, and a plan. Building back faith after this horrific event was proving to be rather challenging, and a long road was ahead. But because of this, the United States became stronger. We put our faith more into each other and became a much more strong nation, together as one. But, many more changes were being put to greatly improve the security of this nation. Before 9/11 people would be able to just walk through in order to get to their place, this is now a thing of the pass. Because of 9/11 drastic improvements were put into place for air traveling such as metal detectors, showing identification, bag checks, and not being able to go through to the gates without a ticket for going through security. The United States is now a much more secure, safe place to be with ever growing advances and new ways to stay safe.

September 11th will never just be another day. It is a memorial forever, always remembering the lives risked and lossed and the strength to bring everything and everyone back together. The United States has changed and will never go back. The people of this nation are now forever knit as one, protecting all.
